Puerto Rico Charitable Trust for the Education of Young Musicians
The purpose and mission of the trust are to nurture and promote the academic and professional development of young musicians in the classical music genre. Central to this mission is to further foster community outreach to encourage access to music to the community as a whole. This is accomplished by cultivating the talents of young musicians through collaboration with recitals and chamber music performances; providing monetary awards and funding to further their educational goals; access to practice and performance spaces outfitted with five pianos maintained by the trust. The trust further provides leadership building and mentorship opportunities with established musicians through one-and-one access to high-quality masterclasses, lessons, performances, and festival participation.
