We are delighted to announce that the 9th Ian Hobson Piano Festival will take place in May 2023.
The Festival is a thriving environment for young pianists to learn, grow, and achieve their goals. Each student will experience highly individualized musical training and mentoring with internationally renowned faculty members, Ian Hobson and Boaz Sharon. The program includes daily lessons, masterclasses, faculty recitals, and student performances.
All events take place in the historic Gallery Inn, which houses a superb Steinway D from the golden era of Steinway production (1940s). This magnificent building in Old San Juan, within sight of the spectacular 16th-century fortification El Moro, is recorded in state-of-the-art conditions.

WHAT TO EXPECT
- All accepted participants (10-12 max.) will receive a full scholarship, which covers tuition, room, and board.
- Participants will be responsible for a $30 application fee and a $220 registration fee.
- Each student will be assigned to practice at the designated spaces inside the Gallery Inn.
- All events are open to the public, and the evening concerts may be live-streamed as high-quality audio and video.
